Well, the 2017 22ft Pathfinder TRS is completely rigged now! I also had the new Garmin echo maps with the 9 inch screen installed, and I must say I'm glad to have my eyes back. With my last couple of charters, the Garmin has made catching bait much easier. This month, I have bounced around between Sebastian Inlet and the flats around the Vero Beach area fishing for snook, trout, and reds. Most of the time my guests like to target snook or reds, but lately I've had a couple of guests who really wanted to catch speckled sea trout. For me, trout fishing in the Indian River Lagoon kind of brings me back to my roots. Catching bigger fish on light tackle is always a good time. We are catching trout mostly on live shrimp, and for the bigger trout we are using big mullet. If the live baits are not working well we've had luck with cut bait. The snook fishing around Sebastian Inlet is especially good on the outgoing tide. The redfish are in the mix too. We are catching them with greenies and small crabs on the drift. The juvenile tarpon are back in the creeks mixed in with some monster jacks and the occasional snook. They are feeding in the early morning and later in the evening. We are catching these fish trolling live mullet.

Just want to thank everyone for booking a trip with me this year; hopefully I will see you all next year.
