Today the redfish bite was on. I took a gentleman named Jason Zonnevylle out early this morning on the Indian River Lagoon. Jason said he had never caught a redfish before and it was on his bucket list. So we went out and got a couple dozen prime baits and headed nearby the Sebastian Inlet. On the very first drop Jason hooked a beautiful keeper redfish, and we put in the live well. Overall, we hooked up with 7 over sized redfish and one keeper. After that, we fished along the beach for about an hour or so for tarpon and shark. We hooked a half dozen tarpon and a couple spinner sharks. He didn't bring any of the fish to the boat, but he had a blast fighting them all while staying ahead of the weather!

As a fishing guide around the Sebastian and Vero Beach, Florida water ways, it's important to make the right call at the right time especially when it comes to weather patterns. This time of year cumulus clouds start to build in the afternoon which brings in severe thunderstorms. It's important to get out early while the bite is on and leave before a dangerous situation arises. As a good fishing charter boat captain it's important that I maximize every guests fishing opportunities while still keeping everyone safe.

Book a guided fishing trip in Sebastian or Vero Beach Florida September through December for some of the best fishing of the entire year. The fishing is great all year around in the Central east coast of Florida, but September through December reaches a different level. Remember, when reserving your fishing charter always give us at least one week notice if possible.
