There’s a lot of cool places to check out whether you are visiting the Space Coast area, Melbourne, Vero Beach or Sebastian. Here are a few of the local’s favorite places.
Enjoy hiking and birding? The breath taking St. Sebastian River Preserve, is considered one of the top birding locations in the country. With over 130 species of birds and 20,000 acres of preserve that are ideal for hiking, birding and horseback riding.
There’s the Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, with close to 200 species of animals, including extraordinary exhibits with giraffes and Southern White Rhinoceros.
Vero Beach has the beautiful McKee Botanical Gardens. With 18 acres of natural landscape restored and preserved to an original state. The gardens include waterfalls, trees and unique historic structures.
In Fort Pierce you can check out the Navy Seal Museum. Enjoy history of the Navy Seal, including exhibits which feature unique weaponry, memorials, SEAL delivery vehicles and much, much more!
