January is over, and the fishing was unbelievable this month throughout the central east coast region. The snook are still biting in the Sebastian Inlet, as well as the bigger reds on the outgoing tide. The pompano fishing is good now, all the way through early March, along with jacks, lady fish, and bluefish. In Vero Beach, FL the bottom fishing this month is the best I have seen in years! The black drum, snapper, and sheep head are stacked up all around the channel markers and bridges. If your the type of angler who loves to catch and eat, now is the best time to do so!
This concludes the January fishing report by Captain Don.
